Salary: £42,963 per annum, plus excellent benefits

Based: London

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our Department of Emerging Programmes (DEP) team based in London.

You will be an entrepreneurial and experienced individual with strong interpersonal skills. Your responsibilities include being both an internal champion for CVI programming and an external advocate for this work which aims to reduce the corrosive effects of organised crime on peace and stability. As well as strong internal relationships, gaining and maintaining the trust and respect of partners, donors, policy makers and academics will be critical to success.

With a degree in a relevant subject you will have extensive peacebuilding experience and/or the ability to apply a peacebuilding lens to your knowledge of the field of crime, violence and instability. Through a combination of advocacy, project implementation, and project design and fundraising you will be responsible for leading the expansion of this new area of programming for Alert in close collaboration with our country offices in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

The above are some of the requirements for the job. For the full job requirements and an application pack (the person specification section of which will form the basis of short-listing), please visit http://www.international-alert.org/jobs. In your application, please indicate the full job title of the role you are applying for.

To apply, please send a completed application form and equal opportunities form to jobs@international-alert.org , both of which can be found under ‘Downloads’.

Please note we do not accept CVs.

As it is unlikely that we will be able to obtain a Work Permit for this role, all job applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.

Closing date: 31st May at 5pm (UK time)

Interviews will take place on the 10th & 11th June.

While International Alert will endeavour to contact all candidates within a reasonable time, this may not always be possible due to limited resources. Therefore, if you have not heard from us within two weeks of the closing date, you can assume that your application has, on this occasion, been unsuccessful. International Alert is an equal opportunities employer. All applicants will be judged strictly on the basis of merit.
