The Hague Institute for Global Justice in participation with the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities will host a public event and a reception on the role of education in conflict prevention on Wednesday 1 October. The event comprises a keynote speech by the High Commissioner, Astrid Thors, followed by Q&A which will be moderated by The Hague Institute President Dr. Abiodun Williams.
The event marks the start of the institute’s work on the role of education in conflict prevention, which will involve a 30-month research project that aims to assess and measure how formal and non-formal education can mitigate and prevent the escalation of violent conflict in fragile and conflict-affected states.
