We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead the development and implementation of Alert’s engagement in Tajikistan, and ensure the necessary systems are in place for high quality output and compliance. You will also be responsible for developing Alert’s peacebuilding strategy in the Central Asia region, exploring complementary opportunities in neighbouring countries.

As this is a developmental role you will have a talent for being entrepreneurial in developing new ideas and concepts. The post holder will also be able to quickly gain and maintain the trust and respect of both senior political figures and local organisations.

With at least five years’ experience working at senior management level in an international environment, you will be familiar with programming and turning ideas into funded projects in conflict and fragile contexts and be familiar with monitoring and evaluation techniques and research methodologies. You will have strong financial management gained in an INGO and know how to operate at a distance from HQ, especially when to take the initiative and when to consult before moving ahead.
